Asset Management is one of our service propositions, designed to deliver maximum value and impact for our clients.
Telecoms Traders offers complete turnkey solution to decommissioning your network telecoms equipment and reducing your network OPEX/CAPEX costs
The evolution of telecommunications networks is placing a significant strain on telecoms operators looking to update to a more efficient and cost effective network, but still burdened by the millions of customers still using legacy systems. Telecom operators will often need to decommission their existing legacy networks as they are upgrading the technology to improve both performance and increase the capacity. The task of asset-removal, transportation, processing, storage, or plans to reuse, resale, or recycle, can be daunting. Carriers in many cases are not equipped to handle such a product. Another problem is many carriers do not have in their possession comprehensive databases of assets in service. This presents problems when planning decommissioning and tracking assets as they are removed.
Telecoms Traders will conduct a comprehensive network and project assessment complete with de-install schedules, asset remarketing plans, equipment evaluation and salvage plan. This is essential so that we can work with our clients project managers and develop an action plan that is suitable for all.
Our qualified de-installation teams are trained to work with our clients and engineers to conduct non-invasive processes to de-install their target legacy equipment. We comply with industry standard practices in the decommissioning process to protect the equipment from damage and maintain its value. Once the equipment is properly decommissioned we conduct a comprehensive inventory assessment and serialization and input the data into our proprietary asset management database. This process allows real time tracking for both our customers and Telecoms Traders to maximize efficiency in the sales and reporting process.
- Asset Remarketing
Once we complete our inventory process we begin the remarketing process. This is where Telecoms Traders has the competitive edge. With our global footprint, comprehensive dossier of worldwide telecom customers and a focus in the emerging markets, we have the best sales penetration and shortest sales cycle of companies in this industry. This proclivity significantly reduces the exposure to obsolescence risk, which is paramount to our customers’ return on investment.
Once a sale is completed, the complex task of fulfilment begins. Testing, warranty, shipping and logistics must all be addressed. Transacting sales in an international environment requires careful consideration of import/export issues, customs clearing, VAT tax and tariffs, secure packaging and shipping. Our teams are well qualified to handle all of these processes and ensure that the equipment reaches its destination in good order.
